LISTEN NOW: LAKE JOONDALUP – THE LAKE THAT GLISTENS

We have commissioned this song as a celebration and lasting legacy for one of Perth’s most culturally significant natural assets – Lake Joondalup.

‘Joondalup Warangka (Joondalup Song)’ was a collaborative project between the West Australian Opera, with Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, and Boox Kid. Together, these outstanding creatives made this incredible homage to our beautiful lake.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in this project – to Gina Williams, Guy Ghouse, Jarred Wall and the whole team at West Australian Opera for creating such an enduring piece of art, as well as Mikey Hamer, Elliott Nieves and Josh Earle for creating the wonderful video to accompany it.

We’re looking forward to hearing this song played and sung in schools and local community groups for years to come!
